Our Team
Director Gloria Hughes
Mrs. Gloria started as consultant for Ridge City in 2014 and has been our director since June of 2021. Loving, caring for, and educating children as well as helping teachers develop into the best they can be, has been her passion for many years.
Gloria has her Master of Science degree in Elementary education as well as her Early Childhood Education Director Credentials. She has taught on the elementary, secondary, college levels as well as been a preschool director for over 17 years. She loves being an influence to children and ministering as the Children's Ministry Director for Canyon Ridge Baptist church is a huge part of her life.
Gloria has been married to "Uncle Charlie" for more than 30 years. They called Indiana and Texas home before moving to California. Family, Canyon Ridge, Piano, the beach and traveling are things Gloria enjoys doing outside of her time at Ridge City.
Assistant Director Emilee Cranford
Miss Emilee has been a part of Ridge City Preschool and Daycare for seven years. Through her time here, she was able to go back to school and get her Associate's Degree in Child Development. She loves working with all ages and seeing them hit every milestone, and enjoys interacting with every little personality that comes through our doors. As a country girl from Northern California, she loves exploring San Diego any time she gets. She attends Canyon Ridge Baptist Church and serves in the sound, nursery, and photography ministry. Her most favorite things she has done so far was getting saved, and getting the opportunity to go skydiving.
